Honour is the central principle of Bushido, the code of the samurai — and here it arrives armoured, spear raised, against Japanese script and something much closer to graffiti. The palette is the surprise: celadon and coral against a dense black, woodblock tradition colliding with modern mark-making. It is the strongest graphic statement of the season. Folded, the figure disappears, so the piece rewards being rearranged through the day.
